This project is about the marks we leave on the world, and about how we create monuments in the landscape. It currently has three main strands:
Traces which shows how the landscape we often regard as natural actually bears the marks of human activity, often dating back centuries.
Signals in Stone which focuses on the megaliths of France's Grand Ouest region, viewing these monuments in the context of the landscape.
Dust & Shadow which examines how the constructions of the recent past, particularly WW2 fortifications, are assuming the aura and mystery of ancient artefacts.
