How can it be this difficult to find decent clip art? All I need is a selection of business- & computer-related images to use in diagrams & charts, created in Powerpoint. I want graphics to represent servers, PCs, databases, users - you know, the sort of thing you see in business diagrams all the time.
Easy, right? Just use Google. It'll find lots of that kind of thing.
Oh yes, it will. Thousands upon thousands of hits. Many sites offer free downloads. None offer what I need.
I want serious-looking images - the sort of things that won't look out of place in a respectable journal.
I don't want endless variations on the theme of a monitor that has grown arms, legs and a witless smiley face. I don't want cartoons of whimsical businessman and secretaries typing away on PCs that look like they're made by Fisher-Price. I'm so sick of fecking cartoons.
Nor do I want to wade through a site like iStockphoto picking out each image individually. I want a collection.
There are millions of pieces of clip art imagery out there on the web and, so far, they've all been crap. And yes, I tried the Microsoft site. That fits right in with that description.
I'm prepared to pay. Hell, I want to pay.
So if anyone knows of a clip art collection that looks classy, serious & business-y, do let me know.
